David James - if anyone ever wasted as much natural ability for a Spice Boy lifestyle…

Gary Ablett - symbolised the beginning of the end of our dominance at the start of the 1990s. Willing but hapless. Remember Kevin Keegan commenting on a game once and got stuck for something to say on Ablett. So he said, 'I'm sure he's a nice lad and that, but he just doesn't look a Liverpool player.' Said it all

Piechnik - possibly the worst centre-half ever seen at Anfield

Phil Babb - thought he had some ability, but that was Paul McGrath

Lee Jones - bought from Wrexham for a bagful of kit, I think. Just about worth it

Jimmy Carter - why?

Mike Marsh - early Nineties midfielder who found his level at Southend. It was a long journey to Javier Mascherano

Salif Diao - the start of the end of Houllier

Mark Walters - OK, not the worst player ever to grace our wings, but every time I saw him do his Benny from Grange Hill stepovers I knew we were heading for the wilderness years

El Hadji Dufus - the biggest koksucker ever to pull on the red shirt. A disgrace

Frank McGarvey - hailed as the best thing from Scotland since Kenny. Went home as the worst thing from Scotland since porridge

Stunned - as were most that read it - that Garcia and Kewell were in the initial post. That's borderline WUM material to say the least.

You could have mentioned Diouf - a player that was never fit to wear the shirt, simply because he brought disgrace to it with his disgusting antics of spitting on Celtic fans. Not the Liverpool way at all. C*nt.

Other's worthy were Diomede, Pellegrino, Frode Kippe, Istvan Kozma, Paul Stewart, Nicky Tanner.

Biscan and Meijer? Never! Not the best players, but they've a certain cult status about them.

I'll be honest my mind went blank so I chose kewell as he is, as many will admit, always injured hence the reason why hed be injured for a fantasy doo dah !

And I chose Garcia because there were times he was just awesome and times where he was the most frustrating player to watch.

I thought he was pretty decent. Not awful. Did a fairly professional  job for us at RB IMO. Though he did look like a comic character from the X-Men or something.

Got to stick up for Djimi Traore.

GK James.  He gets praised now as he's shown decent form since he left us, but for all his talent the guy was a massive liability.  I think he went a whole season without catching a cross at one point!

RB  Kvarme.  Without a doubt.  Awful player

CB  Babb.  Waste of money.  Annoys me just thinking about him.

CB  Song.  Another complete liability, especially at centre half.  Always good for conceding a pen.

LB  Dicks.  He was so out of shape by the time we signed him, he couldn't even get near enough to an opponent to kick them.

RM  Nunez.  Benitez's worst buy by far.

CM  Diao.

CM  Stewart.  Awful.

LM  Cheyrou

FW  Diouf.  Disgrace

FW  Dundee.
