i think chelsea are not building a reputation that will be appealing to players of high quality, who have passion for the game....which is what im counting on for the shevchenko situation, who i have been a long-time admirer of...

Kuyt maybe? Bent? Bellamy? whoever it is im sure that Rafa will make the right decision.

For all the speculation i for one trust Raffas wisdom who ever he signs, saying that i would plump for Kyut or Bent

We need to sell Cisse and bring in Kuyt (to replace Nando) and either Defoe or Bellemy (to replace Cisse), I really think those options would solve our problem of strikers not scoring enough :)

I've got a feeling he's going for Bellamy.

I admit Bellamyu has had an amazing season at Blackburn but we have to remember that before he went to Rovers he was an injury prone sulk at Newcaslte. Talanted yes but very injury prone. I have a gut feeling this season was a one of.

And Rafa does like to gamble but I think hes going to get his striker abroad. Maybe Riki or someone. Hes been linked to us before. Now that Arsenal have spent 8 mil on Rosiky im not sure they could affor Torres so he could be the one for us.

ffs why do people insist on saying we should sign Defoe ?

What has this guy actually done apart from gone from being Tottenham's main striking hope to reserve in one season ? He is unable to break through the partnership of Mido and Keane which isn't exactly the greatest strikeforce in the world and has been shown up several times on TV for being an extremely selfish non-team player. I really do not see anything this guy will bring to the team apart from his huge ego as he doesn't even work hard for the team.

His scoring record has hardly set the world on fire neither so he's not even a guaranteed 20 goal a season man. In the 2004/05 season he was outscored in the premiership by that renowned and world feared goal poacher Robert Pires !

So, to sum up then. Defoe - Can't finish as well as Fowler. Nowhere near as much a team player as Crouch. Slower than Cisse. Oh, but he is English I guess and is hyped up by the press beyond his merit !

Not good enough !
