Stu i understand that is gets on your nerves (slightly) when people start new threads on supposed transfer rumours.
But to kick off on everyone is getting a bit pointless.
The rumour thread is doing well, but whos to say that threads like this (which are part speculation and part fact) wont be just as popular.
I can see your point most of the time but give some people a chance.

He is 27 defo, went on the depor website cos it said in the Mirror he is 20, he was born in early 78.

Don't be so sure about that. Real Madrid bid some huge amounts of money for Alonso but Xabi turned them down. My point is, money isn't everything.
Plus I think Benitez, Garcia and Alonso(Torres says that he's friends with them) can influence him to come here instead of the Russian Mafia FC.
