maybe not though

if rafa wants him,its not like the new manure  owner knows about the rivalry

business is business to him

players move from rival to rival, all the time in US sports

And teams/franchises move to be where the "fans" are! :wwww

Glazier moves ManUre to nearer Heathrow!

So the "fans" from the far East can fly into Heathrow and don't need to travel up North!

And don't most of that scum come from down there anyhow! :D

I think O'shea is a decent player, however he is tainted. I may be mistaken but was he not a youth player at Liverpool but rejected?. If he played for anyone else I reckon he would be a good addition. Whilst he is one of the more likeable of the Utd squad, its so against the grain. Cannot see us doing any deals with them, we just dont go there. A shock if it pans out so most likely paper talk.

I don't care if he was a Liverpool fan as a kid cos he's a f**kin manc now, plus I don't think he's good enough, we want world class players not substantial ones.

My thoughts exactly, has it ever happened? :O

Not in my lifetime anyhow! :no

Once it's happened and once too many in my eyes.......

My God, what is football coming to when two of the fiercest rivals in football are prepared to do business.....  ???

Don't kid yourself that United don't feel the same way about LFC than we do about them and the fact that Fergusion is prepared to swallow his considerable pride and arrogance to do business with a despised neighbour is highly suspect.

And as for the old trotted out phrase "A Liverpool fan since he was a boy, read Harry Kewell " :Oo:

My heart and my head says NO NO NO  :bump

Can't think of anyone apart from Matt Busby who has gone directly between us and the scum or vice versa, anyway don't think much of O'Shea ... he's very inconsistent ... ... which is the last thing we need in defence.

madred wrote:Red baron its pretty fickle to call him this that and the other because he plays for Utd. Do you think the lad wouldnt move because of the intense rivalry that goes on and Benitez would think the same. If Rafa is interested thats enough for me. The lad my play with a bit more heart if he is playing for his boyhood idols so what you on about??

I didnt call him anything', in fact I passed no comment about him at all. What prompted me to post was the impression you gave that we should sign him because he was a boyhood liverpool fan.The closed season is now here and we are going to be linked with loads of players,I doubt I will comment on any of them until a deal is done.In this case I will make an exception, and just say with Liverpool now champions of Europe we will be able to attract better players than John Oshea.

O'shea for 2 million?
does anyone actually watch football anymore?
does anyone really think that fergie would sell one of his players to us for 2 million? a player who is being groomed perhaps to take a central midfield role in place of keane and can play anywhere?
i cant believe theres three pages of discussion for o'shea... coz it aint gonna happen
