its simple really, start with your best possible team then make the changes when needed, i really cant see PSV giving us any problems but respect them for getting this far with team selection then smash them into the ground  :D

An early goal for them could really spice things up so it's important we score first and finish the tie before it has a chance to get going.

Yeah, just send more goals to poor PSV's net. After yesterday's mad games, I really need something to cheer me up!   :buttrock

We'd be unwise to make too many changes, I reckon the giraffe may start up front with Fowler leaving Bellamy on the bench. I might be tempted to rest Carra rather than Agger although the rest I can see a reason for including. We need to have enough ammo on the bench in case of emergency but also the option to take starters off should we be far enough ahead without unneccesarily bringing on the likes of say Gerrard

The rest of the season is a chance for players to stake a claim to be retained come the end of the season ie there should be some playing for places as well as third and the Champions League.

Forget that. Strongest team to start definately. Lets get the job done properly. If we are kicking a.rse come the 45 minute mark then make some changes to rest key players such as Gerrard and Alonso.

---------------------------Reina------------------------------------

Finnan        Carragher                   Agger                    Arbeloa

Gerrard       Mascherano                Alonso                    Riise

                         Crouch               Fowler

Take no chances with this one.

I think he may rest Masherino and play SG in the middle and play pennant on the wing he comeing in to form at the minute and play beelamy up front with Fowler and  get them on the break

Don't be surprised if PSV beat us (albeit narrowly, like 0-1) in this one.

Where are we up to with bookings? I've lost the plot a bit.

I remember Arbeloa picked up one in the 2nd leg against Barca, but is anyone else on the verge of a suspension? Could factor into Rafa's selection if that's the case.

For me, we should put out our strongest defence and midfield, with Crouch and Fowler starting up top. You do not mess about when you're playing for a place in the semis.

I'd like to see us go about business as if it's 0-0 from the first leg - if PSV get an early goal, the last thing I want is to see us hang back for 80 minutes, punting the ball from our box straight back to them every minute or so.

I won't be surprised in the least to see PSV score tonight, but I still think we'll put at least 2 more past them. They couldn't possibly play any worse than they did in the first leg, so I think it may be more of a match this time around.
