Disappointing result and a baffling decision to play a striker on the left for the entire game with Gonzales available.  Is he not fit or not up to it?

Overall, though, I thought the midfield was poor.  Pennant was lively but his final ball was generally lacking most of the time.  Alonso had a poor game by his standards and almost cost us a goal.  Gerrard wasn't great either--a very subdued performance from the skipper in a derby.  Did Rafa put too much of a leash on him after last year's sending off?

All in all, a bad day at the office and my sympathies to our Scouse members who have to deal with the Bluenoses' bollox for the next 7-8 months or so, now.  Will they release a DVD for this 'massive' result, I wonder? :D

On the bright side, at least Arsenal only managed a draw too!

On MOTD, Rafa called Everscum a small club again.

He said something like "deza smalla clubz playa de defensive no?"

Everon may end up thanking Rafa, I heard that a few dwarves have become Everton fans now they are known as the "small peoples club" :D

Are Stubbs & Lescott the ugliest centre backs in the Premiership? :D

wouldn't be out of place in a Star Trek movie, no special facial make-up needed

Dissapointed with todays result. But the "smaller club" quote cheered me up. Nice one Rafa. :D

Cowards.

What a bunch of spineless retards.

For the benefit of our bog-eyed cousins, I highlight the following word, unceremoniously dumped from their latter-day vocabulary:

"Attack:

Synonyms 1. storm, charge, assail, assault.

An aggressive move in a contest.

In footballing terms:

To attempt to score a goal."

Bitter Blue-nose scum:

Read the above, and give it a try the next time you lepers come to Anfield.

Let's face it, Everscum were scared to death today.

They knew a mullering was heading their way, so they did the only thing they could.

Park the bus. A good strategy, I give them credit for that.

But they shouldn't delude themselves.

we must learn to play against smaller teams! Everton were always going to be negative, they have no other option as they are so limited, pity we cudnt break them down but sometimes that happens in football....i suppose its our weakness of not being as lethal in the final third of the pitch as we might be, coming back to haunt us......hopefully only a blip tho......bring on  the barcodes.....they are shocking at the back...

I think you'll find we only bother with DVD's when we've won a trophy, rather than a single match, you ignoranus. Unlike your backwards hovel of a club, we have some pride and success behind us.

Oh, and if you insist on trying to be clever by using the French version of "red sh*t", might I suggest you get yourself back to school for a lesson in their grammar? It's the wrong way around, you whore-peddling spastic.  :idea

Me too.

It's nice to watch a DVD where a team actually wins trophies.
