So if Williams hadn't fouled him he wouldn't have fallen..............Of course the injury was a direct result of Williams fouling him.

Dangerous play (play that could hurt an opponent) is not legal in football. It's a matter for interpretation I suppose. I thought the ref had a good game. Williams could and maybe should have gone, but he didnt. End of, really.

It's not legal hence why it was given as a foul and a yellow card. I also thought the ref had a good game as well.

Definitely not a red and the injury wasn't from Williams kicking at Coutinho, but a result of what happened after the foul, which is why it's never gonna be a red.
I thought the ref had a good game as well. Pretty consistent throughout except for maybe at the end of the game when I thought the crowd started to get to him a bit.

What a loss losing Coutinho for weeks. Players are going to have to step up now

Its not that big a loss in the bigger picture.  :nod

considering he hasn't done much this season, maybe a break is a good thing for him. Then Phillipe can come back with longer socks, so he can PULL THEM UP!!!!!  :eyebrow

Suarez can play in that spot. If all goes well we won't notice his absence.

can Suarez do something stupid and get himself banned again, yes. Then we are creatively fooked in the middle of the park.

It IS a big deal... Coutinho makes the whole team click. Football is not just about stats. When he is in the team, we have better possession. After he went off against Swansea, we can't even buy ourselves some possession. Coutinho gives to the team similar to what Alonso gave albeit in a much more advanced position. Your posts about PC not having done much is really laughable and shows your superficial understanding of the game...

Oh right. So when I said that he hasn't created any chances for others, put others in on goal/ assists etc, hasn't scored any goals, his dribbling has been average, and has been pretty poor so far this season only (4/10 rating imo) for all four games this season having watched him in all the games so far, when these things are his JOB in the team. That is just my hallucination in my own mind, is it??

So if I shoot you, you didn't die as a result of being shot but when you fell and banged your head on the ground. Lets just try that in a Californian court and see how we go............

The injury was a direct result of Williams fouling PC. I accept it wasn't a red card offence.
