I'm not too bothered about players gesturing for a card.
If a referee lets his decision be swayed by some gimp flapping his hand (and let's not forget, said gimp was floundering on the dirt like an epileptic schoolgirl after having his poor toe accidentally trodden on) then it's the ref who needs castrating, not the player.
Good first half. Tight, disciplined, excellent performance from Finnan and Riise, usual watertight situation in the centre of defence from Sami and Carra... would like the midfield to drive forward a bit more and up the tempo a little, but still nothing to complain about. Robbie and Nando have worked hard, and have done as well as they can with what they have seen of the ball.
Hopefully Stevie will be brought on, probably for Xabi in the last half-hour, to really put the wind up them.
