on the down side this will only make home-grown players more expensive - and they're overpriced already. :(

Ithink it will make clubs rely on there academies more which can only be a good thing

Its a great idea but don't know that it will ever happen. Rumour mill has it that the EPL will contest the decision + as has been mentioned - It goes entirely against EU employment law & freedom of trade etc. The big clubs will fight it all the way.

Saying that - Having a transfer window must also go against EU legislation and UEFA have managed to make it stick.

Lets hope it happens.

The impact wud be greater if u had to play that numbers quoted in the first team.. in the squad ain't too bad really.. but yes chelski cud be well stuffed :D

Like anything there will  be pros and cons though the worrying part is you wont really get a idea until its too late.
It certainly i would think push the prices of homegrown players in countries which have a strong pedigree in the European competitions
Have to agree with Jim, Rafa is a smartie......a red one at that
