Posted: Thu Feb 03, 2005 9:36 pmIts a great idea but don't know that it will ever happen. Rumour mill has it that the EPL will contest the decision + as has been mentioned - It goes entirely against EU employment law & freedom of trade etc. The big clubs will fight it all the way.
Saying that - Having a transfer window must also go against EU legislation and UEFA have managed to make it stick.
Lets hope it happens.

It certainly i would think push the prices of homegrown players in countries which have a strong pedigree in the European competitions
