However, this may be breaking news for you here guys and gals.....

A friend of mine lives in Madrid, and he took up the opportunity to go and watch Real play against Real sociedad last night. He got in for free, with just under 15,000 fans who attended the replay of the end of the game that was abandoned two weeks ago. He got in for free, and the 6 minutes that had to be played ended in Zidane scoring a penalty and Madrid winning the game 2-1 in the end.

The intresting part however was that Fernando Morientes did what my pal called "a lap of honour" round the whole stadium, applauding all the fans. Then he took off his shirt and flung it into the crowd, and then he did the same with his boots.

A leaving present for the Madrid fans?

A final goodbye ?

Here's hoping people......

Well that is interesting, certainly sounds like he is packing his bags. That must have been weird though  , getting kitted up to play a 6 minute game

When Morientes was at the starting line for Real when they played against Real Sociedad, I am starting to have second thoughts. The new Real boss seems to think highly of him and have mentioned he is willing to give him the chance, which he yearns. Wanderlei choose Morientes over Owen, which is already a sign of things to come and what an inspired performance Morientes gave. I don't think Wanderlei is going to let go off Morientes. It seems that he is more willing to trade off Owen. A pity though, Owen played well but was constantly neglected, kinda feel sad for him.

This can go 2 ways; either Morientes choose to leave Real and place his faith in RB or he continue to warm the subsituite bench for Real. I don't think the new boss will allow Morientes to leave for just 10 million.

RB has great influence, I believe, given time, he is able to bring players with quality and repeat these feats;

LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

How about we forget Morientes, if he wants to come he will. We should be trying to get Anelka, at least we know he scores goals in the EPL. And see if we can get at least one other striker and maybe a decent keeper who can stay free of injury for a week.

It was all over Norwegian newspapers that he signed for Real for £12,3M. When I read it now I see that they refer to the Spanish sportspaper AS, who confirms the deal. According to them Real`s new manager was the main reason why he chose Real over Chelsea, amongst others. But then again, news from Spanish papers haven`t exactly proved to be bulletproof, so the deal might turn out to be fiction. If that`s the case I`m sorry for misguiding forum-members  :down:
