I think you are right. Real paid for Owen basically to stop him getting cup tied. Not the case with Solari.

The source is not really reliable, but Solari would be a good addition to the squad.
And It woulden't affect Biscan as Solari is a left winger.

If the scum are going or Solari it looks like Giggd days are numbered. After watching Chelsea during the last few games Fergie must be having sleepless nights after allowing Robben through the net. Apparently Fergie had brought him for a tour of Uniteds training ground last year and he had even been introduced to the players.....hee hee !!!

Solari is an absolute steal in my opinion at 3 million, even if he is coming out of contract.
The lad can play as an overlapping left back or as a winger and back when Madrid were really shining in Europe, he was one of their main players performing well for them.
I've always liked the way he plays his football, similar I think to Kily Gonzalez, as he has a certain flair about him. It seems that the Spanish league at the moment is abound with quite a few quality left wingers.

Solari was terrific (no doubt about that) about 2 years ago, but unfortunately for him, he got squeezed out, particularly when Beckham arrived.
I would certainly welcome him here, although he may be cup tied for this season.

I don't think solari is a central midfielder. Thought he plays on the left flank (left back or wing) for madrid (at least that is what championship manager shows 
).
Can see what is rafa doing if this is true. He is buying quality players if they come cheap or this could be rafa's ploy to "wake up' kewell

Out of contract or not, if Rafa thinks this guy will help towards CL qualification at the end of the season (unfortunately this is our realistic objective once again) then 3m in Jan might be a good buy. CL tv rights are like 20m?
