From this mornings reports its gone to 4 strikers now james beattie, morientes, johnson and this kid never heard of him but some of you lot might have, but it will be unlikely he will sign for us when the likes of milan, arsenal and chelsea are chasing him,

Liverpool are amongst a host of clubs interested in signing Lecce's 18-year-old striker Valeri Bojinov, claim reports today.

The Bulgarian striker is receiving rave reviews in Serie A this season and a number of clubs are said to be keen on recruiting him including ourselves.

Juventus, Inter Milan, Roma and Arsenal have also been linked with the player but early reports claim that Barcelona will be successful in signing him.

Liverpool scouts reportedly watched Bojinov - who made his Lecce debut in Serie A when he was just 15 - score two goals against Inter Milan on Wednesday.

Gerard Houllier previously had the player scouted and those reports were passed onto Rafael Benitez in the summer.

Out of these 4 I can see morientes and Beattie coming.

Does anyone else agree that Igor Biscan is the most natural finisher we've seen since Robbie Fowler?

His goal at Fulham was pure class. I reckon if we played him up front, he would get 20+ goals a season.

'Just shows you, based on that evidence Igor is a worldbeater. His initial pass cuts them open like a warm flick-knife through butter, his finish is calm, measured and devastating. What a player!

He will never score another one like it.

:D No I guess not Red'. He probably scored one like it at his previous club and Houllier signed him on the strength of the clip.

Houllier signed him because I believe the European giants were all watching him at the time.

Real Madrid were definitely linked with him weirdly enough as it sounds.

That's right, they wanted him to partner Ronaldo up front.

Biscan is better than Morientes!!!

I understand it now. Biscan is a scaled up version of Micheal Owen !!
