It all depends on which Hamman shows up.

I missed the game last night but hope to see it on video this evening, but from what I heard Hamman had a decent game. He also had a decent game against West Brom.

Against Bolton however, he reverted to his bad old habits of not taking responsibility on the ball and hitting many long and straight balls to the opposition keeper.

I used to be a big fan, but his lack of mobility now is a worry.

All the same, he has certainly a part to play for Liverpool this season as he's the only reliable back up to Gerrard and Alonso.

However, after next summer its hard to see where he'll figure.

I trust you where trapped under an immovable object, and only released this morning.

He will remain an important player for Liverpool as long as he continues to bring a calmness and assurence to our Midfield. His decision making is world class as is his positional play whilst his defensive play is as ever a key link in turning defence into attack. He does lack pace but his intelligence compenstaes for this. I agree he played poorly against Bolton but it was a new formation and none of our midfield performed well but he rarely plays that bad. Gerrard himself recentley commented that he is one of the best defensive midfielders he has played with and thats good enough for me. He is not the furure but is still an important player in the short term.
Did anyone hear about what the other Newcastle players bought him for xmas when he was at St james's?

With Stevie G now out for 2 months of course , im confident that Alonso /Didi can do the business but if one of them gets injured ..........
