Spend the money on the team. Strong team first, then look at the ground.

Yer gotta get the money right to spend on the players to create the team.

To understand the business plan for the stadium we need to see it, which of course I dont think we'll ever see.

The logic of sorting out a decent stadium has been adopted by other teams, not least Arsenal who are about to start theirs.

Kinda,
You might have noticed that Arsenal started with the team and then pushed for the stadium.

Let me just correct you if I may, Wenger did not spend megga bucks on his players. The directors at Arsenal have realised if they want to maintain a wining team they may need to spend and to get the money they need to get bums (maybe including yours :D ).

Again they are looking to the medium term (say next 10 years).

What I dont understand is what is the point of changing to a ground that only holds 55k? I realise the increase in the costs is probably exponential (big word for me & hope its the right one).

If we want Liverpool to grow yer have to look to the next 10 years at least.

I just know this posting is goona get me into the INNER INNER SANCTUM, just waiting for the forms to come in the post, I'm just gunna be so proud!!!!!!!!!!

Get the team right, then go for an 80,000 Stadium. But there is no point having a new stadium with a ****** team. ???  ???

Right now, there is a fine line between getting the cash from tickets at a bigger stadium and sorting the team.

This way both can be done, and the future is sorted too. By not spending too much on an 80K seater, the money is there for team building, and we can build a new 55K seater. Then when the new boss has the team sorted in the next twelve months, the ground can easily be extended using the money from winning the league and European Cup.

SORTED.

The current design is not capable of expansion and is too expensive at £100m for 60k seats. The Millenium Stadium, holds 80k and only cost £80m. The current plan looks like an expensive Ego Trip to me ???
