Makes a change from GH who used to sit there muttering to himself. You need a gaffer like that who will be constantly keeping the players on their toes. Benitez wont be settling for second best.

Good to see some faith in youngsters as well
Like to see the left flank worked a little more subtly
The players looked determined and confident

Got some good feelings about Benitez

Couldnt agree more weezy. This guys gonna take us back to where we belong hopefully. I have been excited since day 1 of his appointment and believe in this man.

Thsi guy reminds me of the new Bill Shankly, he's a winner and seems to bring out the best of his playing staff. I am sooo excited!

What impressed me most was the team sheet ...it looked balanced for the first time in ages we had none of the biscan at center back and henchoz right back ****** the only player out of posistion was finnan and he is a attacking right sided full back .

The other thing that impressed me was rafa`s interview at the end , he knows how to work the press and did you see his little grin after he answered the question about owen lol....seems to enjoy making them work hehe

i too agree about rafa and i too am excted but i was also exited about GH appointment as manager and can remember the same things being said lets keep our feet on the ground lads

apperently in the pre season games biscan looks like a new player plus ive seen pictures of him and hes lost quite a lot of weightt and i saw a video of liverpool playing in a pre season game in da US tour and he looks swiss but

i dunno if he will keep it up because he does look a bit doepy lol
