Of the outfield players probably Johnson, hes been fairly consitsent, but i cant say anyone has been particuarly impressive this season. Reina is the player of the year by a mile, and Stevie and Torres are still the best players. Honourable mention to Benayoun and Mascherano (poor start but has turned it around)

Agree with most of that.
Early on Johnson and Benayoun were our best performers but since they've been injured Masch has been our standout outfield player for me. Took him a while, though.
Honourable mention to the big Greek.

I wanted to put Kyrgiakos on but didn't have room. Was poor when he played earlier in the season but round Xmas he was the one player he showed some balls and steadied the ship. Also one of our few players who can head the ball.

He won this award back in brazil that only ronaldhino and kaka won.. he must be better
Posted: Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:16 pmMascherano, hands down. Though Lucas has been admirable playing alongside him also, but Masch is in a different class to him. Give him the armband, Gerrard doesn't seem up to it this season.
