Owzat for once we agree. Personally i'd keep Cheyrou as you probably wouldn't get much back from him and i don't think he's had a real chance in centre mid. Diouf isn't bad but if offered £5m-£6m i'd get rid also.

I'm glad you also see that Smicer and Traore are worth keeping. You missed Welsh out of your midfield list. :)

Actually I only considered regular 1st squad players and excluded youngsters on the grounds that there would be no point in getting rid of them yet

I kept Smicer as he could fill a role under a decent manager, Traore is played out of position at left-back and played ok at centre-back when given a chance. Diouf and Cheyrou haven't done enough for me and we need to trim the squad. Would you put either into the 18 nominated and in place of who?

no i'd keep them both aswell as. i've said in another thread how much i rate Cheyrou. He's only ever once shown what he can truely do. The fact he's so highly rated in france and keeps gettin international call ups shows there is something there... just a question of how to get him to show it.

Keeping 20 wouldn't be much of a trimming exercise!

you need 22 players imo or you will struggle once injuries and suspensions hit you.

But as I pointed out it is only a temporary measure with four players needed to make up the squad
