Do you think Rafa picked the same team based on developments this week
at the club, i know he's not the kind of man to bow to peer pressure
but it only takes one voice of contempt for waves to be made within the club.

But on a bright note i think it will be the same again, and a hammering for
Reading,up and onwards for the mighty Redmen.

If everyone is fit then theres no reason to see an unchanged team really.  Only player that may require a rest is Hyppia as he is no spring chicken, sure he'll be ok though.

If portsmouth can put three past them im sure we can, they will be much more up for this though.

2-0 win, Crouch to score first.

Maybe Benitez will really give the press something to talk about this week and go with something like this:

                       Dudek

Finnan      Paletta       Agger     Warnock

Pennant     Gerrard    Zenden     Gonzo

                Fowler      Bellamy

:D

Interesting one there matty, though i think had a tongue-in-cheek guess at the line-up. I cant see rafa dropping Reina for Dudek for this game, especially as he's just back from that 3 match ban (by the way, just for the record, well done Jerzy, thats the sort of commitment we like to see in a derby game, even if it was for the reserves:D ).

Heres wot i think he'll go for (if Xabi & Luis are still injured):
                  Reina

Finnan    Carra    Hyypia  Aurelio

Gerrard  Sissoko  Zenden  Riise

         Crouch    Kuyt

I fully expect 3 points from this one, all due respect to Reading but we really do have the measure of them. I've a feeling that in a couple of months we'll be looking back at the Man U game as a bit of a watershed for this season. The point where we reached a low we certainly weren't expecting, this is where we now kick on and put a run together similar to last season. Fingers crossed that some other results involving our competitors go our way too.

Just a joke mate.
After game against Villa everybody was rather disappointed we did get a clean sheet.

I think it isn't as long as you win. :buttrock

if i'm not mistaken, sissoko is on four yellow cards so if he picks one up against reading, that'll mean he misses the arsenal game. now no disrespect to reading but is it really worth risking him against a side we should really beat with or without him? gerrard and alonso should be able to cope in central midfield against them with pennant on the right, especially at home where we'll dominate possession.

Didnt realise that Sissoko is one game away from suspension, thats a good point St Mich.  I would definitely be tempted to rest him, more important that he plays against Arsenal.
