I would have pretty much the same as above but i'd deffo have Gonzalez on!!

Come on like we all complained last season about having no quality on the left, now we have a good out and out winger and people dont wanna play him!!This game doesnt matter a damn really,so its a great opportunity to get Gonzalez a taste of English football....and if he aint fit????Theres nothing better for fitness than a proper competetive game of football!!

I think we'll do the scum, they've not been great pre season either and are missing Gallas at the back!

Also that game last night albeit a bit of a struggle will have done our boys the world of good as far as fitness is concerned!

I really like woof's lineup.  With Crouch's size advantage up front, hopefully some of Pennant's crosses can find their way towards the big man.  If they can be successful early, that may free up Bellamy to wreak havoc.  As far as I'm concerned, running both Crouch and Bellamy up front is the only cure to the gun shy offense we've been seeing lately.

Team
                  Reina
Finnan    Carra    Hyppia    Riise

Pennant Gerrard Alonzo Gonzalez

            Bellamy Crouch

will be interesting to see if it plays Ballack, no doubt he`s been filled in on what these games have become, also shevchenko up against Carra and Hyppia again.

roll on sunday

Team:
                    Reina

Finnan   Carragher   Hyypia   Aurellio

Pennant  Sissoko     Alonso     Riise

             Crouch      Fowler/Garcia

Keep Gerrard, Bellamy and Gonzo on the bench, shows how little importance we place on the game, and then unleash them on a tired Chelsea in the last 30 mins, 3 players with genuine pace and tenacity.

I'd like to see 442, I want us to go and attack Cheeski left, right and centre.

I would love to see us win this one but with present form it doesnt  seem likely, also might rafa play a weakened team for this one? If he does then we can kiss the community shield goodybe, would like to win the game though, give us the edge over the chavs for the new season

im not really sure we can go out there and beat chelsea right now... community shield or not !
+ i wouldnt like it if chelsea beat us 4 or 5 nill ! community shield or champions league final !
i wouldnt start 2 strikers + 2 attacking wingers + gerrard and alonso ! def. not !
my pick would be more like....

                      Reina

Finnan   Carragher   Hyypia    Riise

Pennant  Sissoko     Alonso     Gerrard

                   Garcia
                   Crouch

Pennant looked good on the Haifa match but unless Crouch is played... i dont see why we would wanna play him against chelsea ! i mean... he's a great dribbler of the ball and all..but... he crosses way too many balls in and Bellamy playing against the likes of Terry/Carvalho wou;ldnt have a chance if you ask me ! Crouch is my pick for single striker ! garcia as second striker and helping oout gerrard on the left flank, gerrard can play more a central role when garcia comes back to that left flank to build up play... sounds like a good game plan to me ! That way, we can limit chelsea's game in the center midfield by playing Alonso/Sissoko to stop Lampard/Essien or Ballack ! 4-5-1 with garcia as a second striker would be great imo!
another thing we can do is play gerrard in the right wing role and drop pennant ! that way, we can play a midfield of :

Gerrard     Sissoko     Alonso     M.Gonzales

                        Garcia
                       Bellamy

With garcia playing in a more Right wing role and gerrard in a free CM role !

Important thing to me is:

1) we dont concede many goals
2) we play good football
3) we dont think of it as 'just another friendly' !
i'd be very dissapointed if we lose 5-0 again ! and with the form we'v had so far... not looking so unlikely !

i think gerrard should be back in the centre of midfield where he belongs, we've fcuked his position about for far too long now.
id like to see bellamy and crouch partnered up-front too, start some sort of strike-partnership which we desperately need imo.

My team:

(Keep in mind, I'm not too good with systems and formations et all, but since everyone is doing it why the fuck not?)

4-5-1

                                     Reina

Finnan              Carragher            Hyypia                Aurelio

                      Alonso                 Sissoko

Pennant                                                             Riise

                                  Luis Gacia

                                    Crouch

Subs: Gerrard, Bellamy, Gonzalez, Zenden, Palleta etc

I quite liked Stu's idea of keeping Gerrard and Bellamy and Gonzalez on the bench. Unleashing these monsters on the hour can overwhelme Chelsea. Alonso and Sissoko have to shore the midfield together though. The tie would probably be a very low scoring affair. I wouldnt be surprised if we drew at full-time.

Just as long as Chelsea dont score an early goal, we'll be alright.

Stick to keeping the ball, and attacking through the wings.

Pennant would probably rip Gallas apart, and Riise, (I hope) can contain the right back that he's going to be up against.
