OK so heres trusting to Rafa's judgement... I'd never heard of Sissoko or Alonso either but they're two of the best foreign signings of the last two seasons of any club in the league if you ask me (plus Reina of course).  Just 2 million sounds like good business too.  Interesting now to see if Rafa expands on the Argentinian contingent with the addition of Aguero. ???

Interesting to note that a search on Yahoo! shows that he's been linked in the past with both Marseille for 3 million Euros and Atletico Madrid as a replacement for the then injured Mascherano.

At least two of the links I found are photos of him celebrating goals. I figure they're reportable either because he hardly ever scores or he scores a lot...
I'm guessing he scores a few... as the two mentions I found he's scored within the first 36 minutes so gut feel says he not defensive as his goals would more likely be towrads the end of games if this was the case as him team pushes more people forweard looking for eqialisers or winners...

Hopefully we have tapped into the inexpensive South American market. Argentines are proven in Europe so I would be happy to see us bring in a few provided they are decent players.

your right there. and while there must be hundreds who dont make the cut. there are many that have. for example id be made up if we had just got hold of the next:

ayala/aimar/riquelme/batistuta/crespo(?)/saviola/heinze/collocini/samuel/tevez/milito/gonzalez/sorin/placente/d'allessandro/cambiasso/messi......etc etc. the list goes on and on...

pound to a penny this paletta (who scored yesterday) and somoza wont be far short of quality already that rafa cant nurture and get the best out of. interesting, but changing times ahead. we are definately becoming a taller stronger side.. the components that are missing/lacking in  ie pace and guile will surely be enhanced by the three south americans due to join the club. and it can only mean one thing, that they adapt (eventually) to the culture/nature of the english leagues. get the chance and use it, then im sure we wouldnt be spoken of as pretenders to the crown, but as of, contenders.. genuine, consistant challengers.

then maybe we will start to get a little overdue credit.  ???

I was surprised D';Allessandro went to Portsmouth. Ok the Bundesliga isnt all that but he seems a player who should have gone to a top 4 team....could also bea possibility if Pompey get relegated for the RW positon. He has a dual natonality aswell.
