Can't be too overconfident.

On the day, anything can happen.

But we have a very good chance.

But we have a very good chance.

Precisely.

Either team will represent a tough challenge in a final.

Remember Sao Paulo - we ar*eholed them, yet lost the game.

We must focus.

Hmm im not sure who i would want, boro can be fantastic on their day but very poor most of the time and west ham can also spring a surprise, they can be a very capable side and could shock us. I would probably pick boro as they can be very poor, like the other night against steaua bucharest and will probably be more knackered after their uefa cup campaign. Im more wary of west ham than boro.

I'd prefer us to face us west ham but i dont really care if we play boro. Harry kewell, what a game his best for us by far,  its ashame wembley wasnt completed in time for the final

Well after taking care of both the MANCs and Cheatski, you couldnt really blame anyone for over confidence, though the magic of the FA Cup is the fact that upsets can happen.
From that perspective i actually prefer to face  Boro over West Ham, hard to believe it was 5 years since the Owen final though

Lets not get too over-confident and mock the other two teams. West Ham & Boro could walk away with that F.A Cup if we go in to the match with sheer arrogance, personally I don't care who we face, I would of liked someone like Arsenal, Man United or Chelsea but we knocked two of them out, so we must go for one of the smaller Prem clubs.

Should be a good final either way. We need top hoist that trophy up more than what we have done in the past.

I do think it will be interesting if it's to be West Ham, however, given that we still have to play them in the league (this Wednesday, in fact) before the final.  I envision us fielding half the reserve team at Upton Park in that situation, which might be a nice occasion for the likes of Anderson, Barragan, Calliste and others.  We can't rest Pepe and some our first choice defenders, though...I want that single-season clean sheet record equalled/broken this season!

Would also like to see moro start.....he seemed like a man possessed against chelshit when he came on  :p

well nearly half-time in the other semi, it's still 0-0 but mark schwarzer (sp?) has gone off with a broken cheekbone. The guy's in tears. His season's over now.

Schwarzers a good reason Boro are where they are in the cups, a damn fine player and a keen competitor.

Incidentally, do we really think that, though it's extermely doubtful, Rafa's gonna field a weakened side against WH should they win when we're still effectively in with a remote chance of second in the PL?

West Ham will be interesting and we can't afford to underestimate them. They've got a lot of quality youngsters who are gonna be very hungry for a cup.
