That , to me, suggests he might not be able to cope, having only been a pro for 2 years!

time will tell.

You're talking out of your backside. Most players are surprised by the pace of the Premiership, but for a lad that was surprised by the pace he did fine overall. He's a player that has the ability to pick up on things, learn and improve immensly.

Also remember that danes, swedes, finns have a lot of humility so it's very rare to see one person from one of those countries being cocky about their skills.

We've been long overdue a new CB, it is a bit surprising we don't spend more on defenders although organisation can quite often work better than throwing money at a problem (note Souness and fergie)

Do you guys think we've resolved the LB problem or is it going to be Riise, Traore and Warnock next season too? I've been trying to recall the incumbents at LB used by Houllier and Benitez, compared to CBs (two players play CB don't forget not one) and the comparison is astonishing (apologies if I've missed any)

CB

Carragher
Henchoz
Hyypia
Traore
Pellegrino
Agger (one game)

LB

Staunton
Bjornebye
Carragher
Vignal
Ziege
Matteo
Traore
Riise
Warnock

How much did we pay for Christian Ziege again?
