i dunno about kuijt
his first touch is not really impressive
his shooting ain't that good
his pace can't compare to that of cisse
but
he is working hard
he has got a good mentality
he is young and will improve
if the price is as high as £ 7-10 mill, why not go for anelka instead? he is a proven goalscorer in the premiership and i think he really likes liverpool fc and the fans. his loan spell here was a success and he could be a 20 goals+ striker for us

i don't mind him staying as a squad player....as long as he doesn't bitch about not playing i'd keep him and sell pingpong....but he did moan a lot last season.

He'd have to start justifying his selection! You never know, with the competition for positions - Morientes, Cisse, Baros and possibly Kuijt, he'd be forced to impove his ability!

Anyway back to Kuijt the most goal assists in the last ten years in Holland.
The season 2003/2004 he scored 24 goals and 12 assists.
2004/2005 scored 29 goals 19 assist.

I know that stats dont tell the whole story, but these are stats I LIKE to see - scoring goals and creating, Baros move aside, you greedy so and so, top strikers can create goals as well as SCORING more than 13.
Looks good, just hope it happens (at the right price mind you!) and even if Baros stays, he better keep quiet and not rock the boat or affect team morale (that i am hoping will be good/high next season)

Ive been speaking to a few cloggys today and it looks a dead cert hes coming to us, its great news i really hope he does, he will be as good as RVN was for the mancs, and this kid is everywhere thats his only downfall, he just runs all over the park he does everything for the team, clears off the line everything, cant wait I really hope Rick signs him this weekend. I would'nt even moan about the 10 mill ffs Drogba 24 mill 
This lads a bargain never mind about throwing players into the deal GET HIM SIGNED NOW.

As Stu made the point a few times in other threads, a terrific goalkeeper and a decent goaldscorer can make a hell of a big difference.
Generally speaking, you can't really go wrong with Dutch players and while I confess that I haven't seen a huge amount of Kujt, the little I have seen looks promising.
