Nar to risky.

I'd probably throw half the first team out with youngsters one leg. Then the second half the first team out with the youngsters in the second for the first two rounds of qualifying.

Something like this...

       Sinama-Pongolle   Morientes

Riise           Alonso         Welsh      Nunez

Warnock    Whitbread    Carragher   Finnan

                         Carson

then:

                Cisse      Mellor

Luis Garcia  Gerrard     Hamann    Potter

Warnock     Traore      Hyypia         Josemi

                     Dudek

With first team players on the bench should something go drasitcally wrong.

all the clubs in the first will probly be hoping to be drawn against us cos it'd be a money spinner for them

we should play the following team with a mixture of experience, youth and fringe players and a quality bench in case of emergency:
                         carson
josemi     hyypia©             whitbread    traore

nunez      welsh               hamann      riise

                       gracia

                      morientes
Bench:
Gerrard
Cisse
Reina
Alonso
carra
warnock

I'd like to see our starting 11 play, just cause why risk anything, even though we'd probably beat them why risk it?  Look what happened in the FA cup when we didn't play a strong lineup

i must say that i agree, look at our form against bad teams last year........:( we would be the laughing stock to be allowed entry as CHAMPIONS and get knocked out during qualifying or early stages due to sheer arrogance

so probably 70 games next season, who cares. the boys are great.

i think we played some 68 games when we won five trophies a couple of years back, so 70+.......easy
