Dr Geoff Pearson, a football law lecturer at Liverpool University, said anyone who goes to Italy next week could come back battered and bruised even if they try to stay out of trouble.

travelling fans should get orgnised transport to and from the airport, meaning their will be no hanging around in Turin or at the stadium.

get in and out very quickly and their should be less problems.

i dont suppose uefa will do anything to deploy extra security or to work with the turin authorities to secure safety for the liverpool fans, no im sure they got plenty more on their hands with the debacle that rijkaard entered a referees room and perhaps should investigate why 1 of the chelsea physios kept fiddling with what seemed to be an ear piece under his hat rather than concerned with the safety of 5000 plus liverpool fans

I was talking to a manc at work today. He said when he went in the 90's it was evil with the police sh#tting out and running away from both sets of fans to let em sort each other out. Only after 10 mins did the riot police turn up by which time people had been stabbed battered etc.

I'm sure reds will no cause any trouble at all, as our record is superb away and abroad. Just hope we all get home unscathed which im sure we will.

Why go there...i know its great to be there behind the lads but it is not worth the risk this time, we have seen on this site that there fans have been waiting for revenge and even at the match alot of them were turning there backs when the banner was being paraded. I will be watching the match in the safety of the pub...hoping that any reds that travel stick together and stay clear of Juve ultras after we beat them AGAIN.
