What like last time? Terrible combo if you ask me.

Explain why then please :)

Well, just look at the first half of this match and it explains all.

No thats poor explanation as there has been no service at all. Not the sort of reply i expected to be honest. The whole team is poor at the moment. :no

OK, then. I don't think Crouch compliments Torres at all whatsoever. He's not one to pick a killer pass, is he? He's no real pace, his workrate has been poor, and he's been falling over all to easy then doesn't get back up to track back. He relys too much on balls being pumped up to him and his heading or knockdowns are terrible. He's playing behind Torres which confounds all his good attributes.

I think Rafa should do a mourinho and make at least 2 changes at half time.

far too many changes on a weekly basis.  There is no fluidity or cohesion when we play.  Same problems as last year.  lucky not to be behind as I think there would be real problems in stepping it up to come back.  We are one paced.

We're a very different side without Xabi Alonso imo.

This thing has got to stop at some stage. Look at ManU and see how slowly a partnership is being built between Rooney and Tevez, and then compare that to ours. Just when it starts to look like Kuyt and Torres are beginning to flow, a different attacking partnership is played.
How can anyone put Leto in the condition he is now; obviously he is'nt ready....How can a team with Babel on the bench have Leto starting...What is so wrong with putting your best team out on the field.

Over analysis will be the death of Rafa...

The team selection obviously is looking for resting players for the game in weekend, and that's not our strongest squad whatsoever.

This is a change comparing to other years I think, there seems to be a real priority in the league.

Hopefully we'll do a better second half and get the 3 points so that the qualification is on the right path. Wouldn't surprise me to see Gerrard subbed in min 65 thinking on the next league match.

Come on reds.

Isn't this a sign that our boys (even rafa) have lost their interest in CL? ???

Marseille seem to be playing without any real pressure from us . Sissoko looks way below his usual self , Gerrard has been almost anonymous and Leto may as well have stayed in the dressing room.

No cohesion, no plan , no football. We're not playing it down the wings, we're not playing it through the middle, we're just hoofing it to Torres or Crouch when there's no f'ucker there to support them.

So far a pitifull display, can only hope Rafa sorts something out at half time.

No! Because this kind of performance is also happening in the league.

Typical.  Rafa's been criticized loads for not prioritizing the league when he rotates.  So he plays a weak side against Marseilles and he gets criticized for rotating. :no

No matter, Torres will bail us out somehow. :)

The midfield looked poor before the game, but they have exceeded all my expectations. I never expected them to be that poor.

theres still not enough quality in this side, arsenal will win the Prem this year because they have players who can control a ball, move and pass, rafa needs to look for the attributes wenger does, he needs to buy players with these attributes, honestly i really do have a better touch than most of our side, and i play for a sunday :censored: league side. this is no knee jerk reaction, its just what it is, poor quality.
