Poor pass for their goal but looks great in the air

Was Toure at RB ?

I though we played 3 at the back with 4 in front and then 3 in front ?

Henderson appeared to be the right wing back.

I really thought he was nothing special today, Toure was everywhere though

he won a few important headers today, and gives us the height we've lacked since Sammi left. A good signing in my book.

In Toure and Sakho we have two centre backs who are dominant in the air. Adds another quality to our team compared to last season.

they're also both built like a brick *****, which means they're difficult to boss around on the ground. One of the Sunderland strikers tried to play past Kolo and he simply bounced off him

last season we were bullied by bog standard target men like jon walters, shane long and carlton cole but sakho and toure have definately beefed up the center of our defence.
altidore is one of the biggest players in the league but he got no change whatsoever out of sakho today.
i think he`s going to be a great signing.

Altidore is dog turd mate, you can't judge a players performance on "playing well" against him... My 10 year old cousin would probably stop him scoring in a match.

On saying that, much improved from "Traore 2 :D ". Although he wasn't tested he looked alot more settled and made some good decisions today which was better to see. Definately played two or three really good balls into the midfield and allowed Gerrard and Lucas to receive the ball on the half turn which helped open space up.

it was either him or hendo who were motm imo.
thats 2 impressive performances by sakho back to back, he was great up at sunderland as well.
because of his size people forget that he`s only 23 which is young for a starting CB, he`s going to be immense this lad in a few years time.

I think that the lad will have a few "what the hell was he thinking?!" moments but I also expect even better performances than the one he had yesterday.

every young defender has moments like that though, alan hansen nearly cost us the european cup in 78 with a bad back pass in the final and jamie carragher once scored 2 own goals in one game, for united at anfield!!
