We were always a long shot for top 4. If we get it Rodgers will have pulled off something special.

in tonights echo gerrard is talking our chances up, he`s saying the players are dissappointed with the last 2 results but at the same time they have taken a lot of belief and confidence out of the performances. he reckons we are a match for any side and we can achieve 4th.

eh? where did i call him liar?
if anything i tend to agree with him, there is still a third of the season left to play and i think we`ve hit form at just the right time, we look as good as any side in the country at the moment.
obviously with a 9 point gap we are not the favourites but that doesnt mean we havent got a chance

3 of the next 4 games at home against west brom, swansea and spurs. wigan away in the middle.

we need to be looking at 10 points minimum.

pity spurs beat newcastle, at 1-1 and the game going nowhere i thought that match had draw written all over it.
12 points is a lot but we can half that lead by winning our game in hand and then beating spurs when they come to anfield so we arent out of it yet, but with a 12 point defecit we cant afford any more slip ups.
monday nights game is a must win scenario.

With WBA being this way, it would be a let down if they end their free fall against us.

I think WBA is in line for a beating

To some extent it depends on how many points Citeh and Chelsea will drop under pressure that may allow us to sneak in. Citeh could end up very rocky.

we can close the gap to just 3 points between us and everton tomorrow.
a win against west brom will also see us move to within 5 points of arsenal.
