£3.5 million  , no chance of them fukers paying anymore than they had to was there?

hate madrid. They didnt grumble spunking £80mil on greasy head but they seem to always want to screw us down and refuse to pay over the odds. Well, I wouldn't do business with the fukers anymore.

£3.5m, why do we always sell our players so cheap. Look at some of the prices for defenders these days and Arby is a full international FFS. It always seems that RM get one over on us when it comes to transfer fees. When did we actually sell a player for megabucks. I am really scared that if Xabi goes we will find out it was for about £20m or something stupid like that.

I think Arbeloa will soon realize he has made a huge mistake ,he wont find their crowd so forgiving if Madrid start leaking goals ,I still expect Barcelona will win the league by a country mile, and he could be in for one hell of a rough ride.

I suspect he has been bought as a squad player.

Not a bad return all in all. Would have liked to get more but with him in his last year of contract it was always going to be hard. Rafa should have just stood in his way and let him go for free next summer. I guess we need every penny we can get at the moment.

I agree £3.5m for a player who makes the national squad of the European Champions seems exceptionally cheap.

its crazy how the sale of  one man can take of defense from " quality in depth" to "skint after our first choice"

3.5 could be the difference in buying or not buying somebody that we are close on, but I too am thinking this would have been worth "eating the loss" in exchange for piece of mind. Plus, while he is under contract there is always that slim chance of signing him to an extension. Especially after he sees Madrid bring in somebody else, and hopefully watches it fall on its face, and maybe ends up seeing the pitch more often then he thinks he will, and just gets thats much more settled into life on Merseyside, although that didn't do anything for Xabi (by the looks of it), and I guess Arbeloa was always going to be keen on going home and proving it in front of Madridistas that he is good enough for them. Would have thought the 5-0 thrashing would have proved that though.
