does anyone know where aurelio is playing?
i assume left wing if traore's at left back.
maybe kewell will be used as a striker this season? ???

I'm pretty sure he's playing LW. Traore at LB. On the subject of Kewell, I think Gonzales and him will rotate.

Very good goal. A good lay off from Robbie and a cracking finish from Craig.

Maybe.

But at least we have a lot of depth in that side now. Dont forget we have Riise still.

Its clear though Aurelio will be a big player for us this season.

Half time report.

A goal from young striker Craig Lindfield has given Liverpool a 1-0 half-time lead over Crewe Alexandra in this afternoon's pre-season friendly at Gresty Road.
Lindfield, the Reds top scorer in last season's successful FA Youth Cup campaign, marked his first senior start for the club in style with a cracking strike after 18 minutes.

The goal owed much to the good approach play of Bolo Zenden and Robbie Fowler but Lindfield's impressive close-range finish into the top corner was emphatic.

Seven minutes later the Wirral-born 17-year old almost doubled his tally with a shot that was tipped over the bar and then tried his luck with an audacious over-head kick.

Other than that there has been little else of note to report apart from a few good touches by new signing from Valencia Fabio Aurelio, who has settled well on his debut and looked comfortable in his role on the left of midfield.

------------

So yes Aurelio is playing LW. Sounds good. Keep it up lads.

i agree that aurelio has a certain class on the ball. you can tell he's brazilian. :D

is it me or has robbie got a yard of acceleration back? he looks in his best shape for years. ???

Is it just me of could Linfield be closer to the first team than was first though. Not just about his goal either, physically he looks to have the right attributes. His awareness looks good as does his touch? That overhead kick wasnt half bad.

Or maybe im just getting overboard with him. :D

BTW right now an orchestra is playing YNWA

exactly....

Left Back-
Riise
Warnock
Aurelio
Traore (if he stays)

Left Wing-
Gonzalez
Kewell
Aurelio
Zenden
Riise

We have got ridiculous amounts cover for the left side.
however there is a lack of strikers. and IF we dont sign one i will expect rafa to use kewell as a 2nd striker more than a left winger

I was thinking the same thing. He still so intelligent on the ball. That must have been around 3 or 4 excellent through balls and passes he played.
