Couldn't help but notice how fantastic the Leverkusen fans were tonight, depsite watching their team get humbled by the mighty Liverpool they sung their hearts out all night and were a real credit to their club

Also it sounded like it on tv anyway, but didn't they join in the applause at the end of YNWA?

Hats off to them

Totally agree Woolly. Brilliant support. There would have been booing in many European stadiums but they seemed to accept the better team won. Reminded me of the Portsmouth fans Vs Arsenal last year.

I realized that watching the game too. 6-1, the game was over, the fans were as loud as ever and still jumping around waving their scarfs. Great credit to them, fans of LFC know how to appreciate these things.

the leverkusen fans were applauding hamman when he was substituted. in all fairness it was nice to watch a european game with all the diving and niggles that go on, i know we were denied a blatant penalty but at the end of the day that was irrelivent.

credit to their players for the manner they played the game, credit to their manager for coming out and saying they were beaten by the better team, and credit to their supporters for being loyal and noisy until the end. i respect them as a whole club now

Playing YNWA after the match was a very respectful gesture.

I admire that.
