Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 8:46 pmi wouldn't have thought hillsborough would be a particularly good idea for the name of the new stadium - partly because there's one already called hillsborough and partly because of many other highly emotional and complex issues.
besides, the stadium will be called after whoever sponsors it. thats the way it goes now.

Posted: Mon Jan 10, 2005 9:31 pmWell, I go for Stanley Park because the stadium will be in Stanley Park and there is nothing wrong with that name, it's sensible name to me. You know Reebok Stadium, it's sound daft name to me.
I like the idea of Bill Shankly Stadium, but I don't think most of Liverpool fans would agree with those idea of "Bill Shankly Stadium" because we have so many Liverpool Legends in their history, it is not fair on anyone.
If the stadium called "Stanley Park", so we could name of the stand in the stadium of "Stanley Park", we could name "Emlyn Hughes Stand" in the West Stand, so we could name "Bill Shankly Stand" in the East Stand, and we could name "The Kop" in the North Stand, also we could name "The 96 Stand" in the South Stand.
What do you think of that, guys?
