FAO Pig Catcher This is from Soccernet.com

"French striker Djibril Cisse has revealed he could have lost his left leg in the aftermath of the horrific injury which wrecked his first season at Liverpool.

Cisse, in an interview with club magazine LFC, said: 'When I was taken from the field, what they did next was so important for my career, what they did in those first few moments was vital.

'My bone were overlapping and I had no circulation in my foot.'

And the 23-year-old insists: 'They had to give me drugs to help with the pain and then they had to pull my bones back into place with their hands.

'If they had waited until I had got to the hospital I might have lost my leg, it was that serious.'"

Now that is really scary.

Luckily the operation to remove the ball from his forehead also proved a success.

Djibril

Having read this thread,i feel i should say take time in your rehab - come back stronger and then when ready score an absolute bucket full of goals for the team...

I'm sure everyone will be delighted...

Scary that sort of damage and the possible outcome of a amputation  could be caused by what looked to be a fairly innoucous  challenge

Nonsence talk from a forgetten man.  If it was that baaad they would of mentioned it officially after the blackburn game or a week after that CIsse could of lost a leg.  He's just bored watching Brookside repeats and is passing time.

It's quite well known that David Busst nearly lost his leg after his horror-break at Old Trafford, in fact even a year or 2 after the incident surgeons feared he would have to have an amputation as his leg (including muscle, veins, arteries & ligaments) was so badly damaged.
