His last season, surely he will stay at Newcastle, no need to follow this rumour.

The problem with Shearer, is that it would be a quick fix. He is still a fantastic striker and I would still pick him for england over anyone else. But I believe that one or two things stand in the way of him coming to Anfield. Firstly he has hinted (if not stated) that this will be his last season as a footballer and I have never ever known the liverpool board go for a quick fix option before. Secondly, it just doesn't make good financial sense. Why splash out, oh i don't know, £8 million on a player for two years tops when for around an extra fifteen we would have a chance of snatching Wayne Rooney who could last another ten. Hmmm...

shearer wont come...he said he wanted to be a the manager of newscastle when he retires and this is probably his last season in his career... why wont he leave the club he played for for the last 7-8 season and go to one of their rival clubs?

They've got Kluivert, Bellamy, Ameobi and of course they're pursuing Rooney. I think that answers any questions about why he'd want to leave.

Plus there's the question mark over the state of his relationship with Bobby Robson. There'd be no harm in him going elsewhere for his final season before taking up a coaching position at Newcastle once the old duffer's hung up his suit.

Why would we pay for a player so we can have him for 1 season?  It just doesn't make sense even if it is Shearer. (who is one of the greatest English players ever)
