This one illustrates the peculiar way Houllier used to operate - he will play certain players no matter what their present form is and keep the others who has the talent but strangely not used or utilised sparingly as subs and introduced when we age totally chansing the game.
jari Litmanen is a very good example. He deserves much more starting run in the side but has always been kept as a sub whose task is to turn the game around when we fall behind. Houllier has this thing against so-called flair players.

Berger always scores a beauty or two in August and September before visiting his old buddy Richard Steadman for 6 months!
