Excellent performance form the boys. Gerrard was magnificent as usual and Hamann was good even though he looked knackered towards the end. Cisse did ok with a few little runs here and there and is still finding his feet. Carragher and Hyypia when called upon were class. Josemi looks the part already and can see him becoming a fave with the fans very quick. Even though it was a good performance i thought the opposition were very poor indeed but lets not take it away from the lads. They did a very professional job.

I felt Riise was still prone to hitting the ball long on too many occassions, when it would be more frugal to keep the possession.

It`s hard to disagree with any of this, but I`d like to add that I really enjoied watching Rafa too. He looked like a man with a masterplan, and really eager to make the players stick to it too  :)  :)

A good solid performance , looked like they had far more width than any Team Houlier put out ......... great to see Rafa "conducting" from the sideline and being vocal .... but as has been said , poor opposition ..... role on the first real test against Spurs .... 2-0 would do nicely  :)

Your right supersub about Riise. He does tend to hit too many of them long balls forward and frustrates sometimes. Sometimes he needs a bit more composure about him. Maybe he will learn under Rafa?
