Out of curiousity what did everybody think of him he scored two on his debut but injury ruined his career, i thought he was a good enough player.

Well,I thought Berger was an excellent player,who's career at Anfield was cut short by a succession of injuries.A picture of Berger to go with your question would have been a nice touch.

OK, I liked Paddy Berger when he played for us. Scored some good twenty yard crackers, you always knew he had a shot on goal in him when he picked the ball up in tha area. Was good at passing, shooting, tracking back bit of a sh1thouse though when he had to put the foot in.

Berger was one of my favourite players when he was at Anfield, he used to get the ball and run with it which is something we now miss, had a belting shot too, but like Johnny said he was a puff when he had to put his foot in, when he did stick his foot in he used to pick up stupid cards.

Berger is similar to Baros in the way that his talent did'nt blossom under GH's reign of terror. Thank god Rafa has arrived.

Berger was great, but got rumbled a bit by opposing defenders when they realised if they stopped him letting fly with his left foot from 25 yards then he wasn't gonna do much else. Typical ex-LFC though, comes back to score against us with a screamer for Pompey. Still having injury nightmares I understand. Did more to attract women to Anfield than Redknapp and Owen combined. But what's with the f*ckin alice-band!?

He did'nt exactly score a screamer vs. LFC it was just a tap in.
