Hope this aint a bad omen for next season, but steven Gerrard has been given the number 8 shirt, belonging to Emile Heskey! Cisse will get Rushies no 9 shirt!

Hope this does'nt mean that Stevie has a poor year

Im getting a number 69 shirt, my favorite number, and the words....big boy! on the back!

I don't believe in all that ****** with number's and supersticions. It's mega rare when you see goalkeepers wearing number 99 etc, it just look's totaly out of place. If i was head of FIFA or whatever, i would ban player's from using such stupid number's...it may sound daft but it's not American Football or Ice Hockey or something.

Must there always be bad news

The fact that SG is wearing a red shirt next season and not blue should suffice.

Shirt numbers are not cursed..bad players are bad..Heskey won't even get in the England side now that he's at Brummyland, but he may still have a role:-
