Another baros thread - Sell or keep

It's already been pointed out by many members of this forum that Owen and Baros will not be able to play alongside each other, as they both need a big man to play with (Cisse)..and we don't put 14m strikers on the bench!

Obviously it is nice to have the choice between two great strikers, but Baros has already voiced his concern about GH not playing him "I can't score goals from the bench" "I was thinking maybe I should leave this summer". Does anyone honestly think Owen, England's first choice centre forward (unless Rooney has taken that spot), a superstar of English football, will sit on the bench? No..
When one plays the other will loose confidence and look towards other clubs.

Needless to say, Owen is still rated highly by many and could still fetch a nice transfer fee. Baros could also mean major cash after his prolific performance at EU04 (on target for top scorer).
Can we sell the England legend? Fans won't be so happy. Baros will also be worth more directly after the Portugal tournament.

I think we should consider the sale of Baros. We need to strengthen other areas of our side (cash for centre-half, right winger and centre midfielder would be useful..lets not forget a new stadium either). Owen is certainly proven, Baros *might* have a great tournament and not be able to do the same at Liverpool.

Anyway, consider this..would you sell Baros? would you sell Owen? Or would you leave both players in the squad, one on the bench with their confidence diminishing and their desire to play at another club growing..

I say keep him but do think that the main partnership will be Owen and Cisse.

We definitely need three strikers (injuries form etc) and players must appreciate this as it wont be a new revolutionary tactic to have more than two strikers in the squad all capable of being matchwinners.

Cisse will have the usual time to adapt to the premiership so it could be Milan and Owen at the start of the season

Not a bad situation to have all three of them desperate to be the man up the front slotting the goals.

I have no doubt all 3 players will be used during the coming season.Benitez won't sell anyone, unless they are not necessary to the squad;Owen,Baros and Cisse are all going to play a major part in our conquest of the football world!!!

Owen always misses a couple of months each season so we definitely need Baros to step in.  Also, with champions league football Benitez will probabaly rest one of the front two before Wednesday night games.
