Who do you think will be the first player Benitez signs ? also excluding stevie g who will be the first departure ? [and why]

I think it will be Canizares, on free, with Dudek moving out.

He can be number one for twelve months until Kirky is back and fit.

I expect him to sign some players from the spanish league, maybe even some players from Valencia. What about Baraja?

I was impressed with Baraja in the euros. I think hes the creative midfielder we need.

Owen Hargreaves, you must be joking, he is the most over rated load of garbage I have ever seen.

He is awful.

Hargreaves is poo. Just not good enough.

Id try and get duff. Dont know if he is gonna stay at Chesea with the squad rotation system, but we prob will have the cash to pull off a deal.

I wouldnt go for Joe Cole/ Bridge as they are overpaid and overrated.

Definately out without thinking twice and reason:

Biscan (cant defend, panicks on the ball, lack of communication with other defenders,plays with his head down, liable to score own goals, sure to cost us goals/points) Selling price: 500,000

Diaou (Too slow in midfield, plays with no urgency, not a solid passer, very average, clogs up the payroll)
Selling price 1M

Murphy (How long have u got?...Can't tackle. bottles out of challenges, zero creative ability, plays negatively, passes sideways instead of forwards, cloggs up the payroll)
Selling price 50p (or swap for a hot plate of scouse)

Cheyrou (Useless in Midfield, Useless in attack, ineffective, only scores the odd goal,given plenty of chances to shine and failed on all counts)
Sales price 2M

Diouf. (Dribbles himself silly, but with no end product, cant cross/pass or shoot properly,isnt a team player)
Selling price 5M

Le Tallec.(Never once impressed, has no spark, unlike Pongolle, rushed straight into the squad without playing a couple of years in the reserves,doubt he will become a world beater)
Selling price 2M

I dont think these players will improve under Benitez.
Im sure Benitez will be able to bring in some spanish talent, to replace the above.

Agree with most of your comments....why sell Le Tallec now, he should have been in the reserves last season and only played as much as he did in the first team becasue of our dire injuries...he's one for the future of that I have no doubt.
