Gerrard hands in transfer request

according to radio merseyside sports news , steven gerrard has handed a transfer request in . I have not heard or seen on tv anything regarding this , but on the 3.30 and 4.30 radio merseyside sports news this was said.Does anybody know of this?

They also said that liverpoolfc had rejected the request.

I'll be extremely annoyed with Steven if this is true.
Especially if its the reason stated in the newspapers...

The transfer request was made three months ago and was turned down by Houllier.
