McManaman, Fowler and Jones: Discuss

Reading today that the above three boyo's are back in a coaching capacity with the club.
Anybody think this will be of benefit, other than to their own bank accounts?
What will they bring to the current squad or the youth teams?
I'm undecided on it....

As coaches couldn't tell you.

What I will say is I liked them all as players and they were on my bedroom wallpaper from when I was 10 till I was 17(ish) :D

I'd think it would be benificial. Quite clever really. Standing next to Fowler, Suarez is a nobody. Are they good coaches though? If I remember rightly, all three took a keen interest in helping out coaching the kids when they were players.

suarez a nobody? give me suarez over fowler any day. suarez is nuts but he`s one of the best players i`ve seen in a red shirt.

Not sure about that... Robbie probably wasn't quite as good (not far off) but he was a connection to the "normal people". He had loyalty as well.

Luis is however possibly the best player we've ever seen.

What ya's on about? Fowler! Aka God! Suarez might look better as a forward but Fowler is one of the best strikers ever. Suarez comes nowhere near! When Suarez can do all the footwork AND knock in as many as Robbie, you'd have a point. But football is primarily about goals. They win matches. Tricks don't.

And to clarify, my initial statement was that at Liverpool, Fowler is a legend. In comparison, Suarez is nothing.

Owen was a better player than Fowler, had more to his game.

Unfortunately Owen lacked a personality and a loyalty to LFC.

Kenny was better than both of them

But I would take Fowler over Suarez and Owen.

I think Fowler and Jones could be an asset - not sure on Macca. But that's all just a gut feeling

Macca never had the "look" of a coach, but then nor did Robbie. But if they can teach their respective skills to the likes of Sterling in Maccas case for example, that can only be a good thing.

Owens game was all about his pace - Fowler was IMO a far better all round striker
