Martin Boughton.

A few here claimed he was in it to sell our players to chelsea and he shouldnt be at our club.

Looks like the guy has saved us as a club and lost the cancer around 200mill in the process.

Hats off to you sir.

How about the "Broughton stand" at our new stadium or rebuilt Anfield?

Think there are 100 individuals who deserve their name on a stand before MB.  Paisley springs to mind......  :;):

The board were much maligned by all and sundry, but they have done a fantastic job over the last year or so. I agree wholeheartedly with just about every decision they've taken.

Yeh Kudos for Broughton producing the goods .... .... but the real thanks should go to SOS and the fans and members who fought unflinchingly to oust the Yanks  because they where the real NOISE and make no mistake about it ...
that said I will neck a large chunk of humble pie to go along with the copious amounts of alcohol I intend on drinking .... once again well done to all the men and women who acted with total conviction to the cause

Both Broughton and Purslow deserve apologies from many here who for no justified reason questioned their motives from day one.

Broughton has done a brilliant job and the thanks Broughton is getting from the fans may of  rubbed off on him and he may have a soft spot for us now. Maybe the new owners if there going to be In America might ask him to stay as director?

I’ve been saying for a while that Broughton was one of the few friends LFC had in the boardroom and it was laughable that some thought the fact he’s a Chelsea fan was going to play any part in his dealings. The guy is one of UK’s top businessmen and he wasn’t going to ruin his career and lose millions of pounds of future earnings by doing anything stupid.

Today Broughton showed why he’s at the top of his game. His contract was watertight and he’s played the takeover close to his chest, hence H&G were outraged when they found out last week. They didn't see it coming and they knew they couldn't do anything to stop it. Hence one last desperate bid in the courts to save their money.

Broughton also hired Grabiner QC who is THE best commercial lawyer in the country. H&G didn’t stand a chance.

I’m under no illusions that Broughton has done this out of ‘loyalty’ or ‘love’ for our club…to him it’s merely business. However, he’s a GOOD businessman and he has morals and ethics too. He also recognises the human side to football clubs.

Sadly, the same cannot be said for the rest of Premiership.

Unfortuantely everyone got to the point where they didnt trust anyone anymore. Complete loss of faith for authority at the club after the ownership left us damaged almost beyond repair. Broughton will have been well paid for his efforts but it has to be said that after a steady start he seems to have acquired a genuine taste for the battle and became as intent on removing these people as anyone that supports Liverpool. The way he spoke last week about the deal with NESV will surely never be forgotten.Be nice if he could stay on in the Chair but he hasnt hinted thats on the cards.

Broughton acted with class and integrity - came with a massive reputation - and showed great Leadership when it mattered most.

Thank you to him - suspicions there were, but given where the club was plunged it seemed no-one could be trusted ... so he supports chelase.. we can't all be perfect :D
