Our 18 league titles record......... - Looking shaky?

Hate them, or REALLY hate them, the Scum tonight , looking like picking up Title number 17.
Can Liverpool with the Current crop of genius, like Torres/ Babel/ Gerrard, extend that 18 titles any further, anytime soon?
Also, this huge split with the owners/ alienation of Parry, and lack of ability by Parry or the board, to sign the right players/ build a new stadium.
In view of Utd's "Strength and Depth" as Alan Hansen puts it, superior financial power etc, and ability to strengthen even further in each transfer window.
How many of you think, honestly, that we can do much about the mancs overtaking us, over the next 2/ 3 seasons?
I would hope that ownership issues can be resolved. BUT, where is the strength/ finance and depth coming from to start winning the league??
