What's the score with this Sentanta thing then. Do you have to subscribe?
I never had a problem with the pay-per-view games on Sky. I payed £50 in August and got fifty live games throughout the season. £1 per game is not bad.
How many games are going to be on Sentanta? How much is it per month? I'm not willing to pay an extra £10 or whatever a month.

£30?? They can get fooked big time!
This has shades of what happened a few years ago with on-digital and the Football League. ITV came in with a whopping amount of cash to show live football, on the basis that everyone would go out and buy a digital box and subscribe to them. The problem arose when not many people subscribed and there was no money to pay the clubs. The whole on-digital thing subsequently went t its up.
Will history repeat itself? ITV have their fingers in the pie again. I don't know anyone with Setanta, and I can't see the average family digging further into their coffers.

I pay £8 month for setanta but thas due to having another subscription at £14.99 a month (standard price). If u already have Sky Sports just want Prem games then it probably isnt worth it. I think its good value as I watch the Scottish, French and Italian football. You also get Dutch and German but if thats not your thing £14.99 for a few extra prem games is probably not worth it. Watch out for Setanta though as they are snapping up more and more sports. Ricky Hatton now has a deal with setanta, they got the USPGA golf from Sky, Australian Rugby League from Sky and no doubt will be looking at getting more sports to rival sky sports.
I think Setanta will appeal to free view customers. People with free view cant subscribe to setanta but can subscribe to setanta for £10.99 a month. If I couldnt afford sky but had a free view I would get setanta as then I could get some prem games.

Really, I never knew that.
Setanta have a very strange marketing policy as they only seem to advertise on there own channels. They dont push the channel on other networks. Very Bizarre.

If any of you are in a cabled area. Than move over to that. Subscribe to their lowest package and then buy a chipped d-box or get the chipped card. I have had a d-box for years now and have oinly paid 20quid in two years to have it re-chipped.
You get all sports, setanta, movies, kids tv, music and even porn if you're into that.
You can't beat free sports and free footie.

My uncle was talking to me about this yesterday. His had a D-Box for a couple of months.
Only thing is I love my sky+ and I need Sky One and Sky sports news.
You dont even need to subscribe to Cable do u as long as u already have the connection in your house?

Setanta Sports is 9.99 per month. You get all the scottish football and football from the european leagues and as I cannot get sky it's worth it for me.
I think I'll be signing up
