Gerrard 'the saviour of england' - He rescued the national side!

What a performance from Mr Steven Gerrard last night.  With two thunderous shots, which are of course his speciality, he propelled England in to the lead!  He proved that he is of course the better of the two main midfielders in the national side, he just needs his own space in the centre of midfield.  Lets hope he can reproduce this form for us in the Arsenal game!  Hail King Gerrard!  King of club and country!

Yes, he slew the might giants of Andorra and smote their ruin in Barcelona.

All hail Sir Stephen the Valiant--Conqueror of Andorra and the bain of that most unworthy knave, Franklin of Lamp Lard.

2 nice goals but what would the rest of the overhyped average 'Lions' have done without Gerrard??

Probably drew 0-0 again.

Its a win and 3 much needed points but beating a team of part timers who are carpenters and fireman before footballers is nothing to be proud of.

McLaren still has to go,theres more passion in a corpse and going by some of his interveiws he has the IQ of a mushroom.
I still think England will qualify and hope they do,but if the fans or FA think they can win it with McLaren and Venables in charge they might as well not waste time on qualifying!

Well done Stevie though...hit 2 for us on Saturday as well please! :D

a win is a win. i am not the greatest fan of england because well they aint liverpool!

anyway, the fact of the matter is that the last few england performances have been dire until Gerrard got put in the centre this match. granted 1st half was a bit mad but the second was ok. better than ourt last few showings in total. given time hargreaves and gerrard could be brilliant for england!

drop fatty boy and put lennon on the right.

Fuccccccking hell he was playing Andooraaaa or who ever they where.

He should of been sent of aswell I thought for that bad dive.  I honestly have no desire for england o win any games.   Even with red players playing for them.  International footy is garbage.

Where scouse not english.

he was also extremely fortunate that the tackle on that fella who looked like him off changing rooms, made sufficient contact with the ball first. CRUNCH!!!   :D
