Wembley 2007 - Fa cup or cl final ?

If you had to choose between the FA cup final or the CL final at the end of this season ,what would you go for ?

Now that Wembley is apparently back on track , and the projections look fantastic ,I think i'd sacrife a CL final berth for a historic appearance at the new Wembley . (we beat Arsenal 3.2  :D )

With 90,000 seats, the new Wembley will be the largest football stadium in the world with every seat under cover (but not THE largest in the world.) There will be NO unobstructed views.

It has a circumference of 1 kilometre.

The London Eye, the world's largest ferris wheel, could fit between the top of the arch and the pitch.

The rows of seating, if placed end to end, would stretch 54 kilometres.

With a span of 315 metres, the arch will be the longest single span roof structure in the world.

The new Wembley is expected to cost a staggering £750m, making it the most expensive sporting arena in the world.

It will seat 90,000 and will have a 'triumphant arch' to replace the Twin Towers.

Leg room is greatly increased and now measures more than was given in the Royal Box in the old stadium.

On a clear day, the arch will be seen from the Canary Wharf, Europe's tallest skyscraper, 13 kilometres away.

A representative from every county of England was involved in the construction of the arch, to ensure no part of England feels left out!

The arch is made of British steel.

Because the arch is so high it is being fitted with a special beacon acting as a warning to low-flying planes. Wembley is the only stadium in the world to have such a beacon

:)

certainly looks impressive. the drama behind its construction has though been a joke. still, every team will relish a visit there. Liverpool lifted both the first and the last F.A Cups to be held during the tenure of Cardiffs excellent Millenium Stadium. it would be fantastic to defend the title on virgin territory.  but its going to be 2010 at the least before footballs Premier trophy is seen lifted at there. and you'd have to say, on first viewing, it would do Uefa proud i suspect when the new Wembley finally does get chosen to host the Champions League Final.

An interesting post this one woof.
At first glance everyone would say the Champions league, but if it was the first F.A cup final at such a magnificent stadium it only seems right that we should be playing there.
I would still rather the champions league though, due to the fact that victories in that are against the best in the world not just our country, and just to p!ss Whisky nose Fergie off, and the peg selling gypo from the bridge.

90,000 seats and I bet we still only get about 25,000 for the final.

Bit cynical eh? We will get an equal amount. Maybe even more so seeing as people have seen we have the best fans. We will get equal to the other team, and hospitality is not counted in the 90k seats i think, although i might be wrong. For me im hoping they have the transport sorted out. That one road up to wembley used to be a nightmare and now it seats aload more...who knows!!!
