How good does it feel being able to start a thread with that title?  :D

Regardless of who wins the other semi, other than the Super Cup and the mickey mouse World Club Championship last year, this will be the first major final since the UEFA win against Alaves where we'll go in as clear favourites.

And frankly I don't think either Boro or West Ham will have a prayer.

Congratulations to the school of 2006 - it was an excellent result against Chelsea. :bowdown

Well I suppose the first Q should be: Who would you rather face?

I think I'd rather face Boro' because a) they're gonna be knackered b) they can be really dodgy and c) West Ham can be quite a tough little outfit.

Exactly....boro can perform like world beaters 1 day...and a conference team the next week....

Furthermore they have viduka & hasselbank who love to score against us (especially hasselbank).

I rather we face west-ham..... but we can beat boro too (if we play to our strength).

boro in the first leg of their uefa cup semi final were abysmal, no doubt yakubu and hassielbank are very dangerous on their day, but if they display the touch and technique they did the other night, we've got no problems. Viduka is playing well, and while they can turn it on every once in a while, we would do well to avoid west ham as i think they could prove to be a very tough opponent in a final

Let's hope West ham win and we will double our chances. I'm quite worry about Viduka if Boro got in.

It's looking like a good final whoever wins tomorrow.  As a Liverpool fan you want to play a team you can beat, but not one where you're streets ahead because that's a no-win situation.  It'll be a great achievement to win the FA Cup whoever we play.  (Remember how it all started this season, another classic Liverpool comeback.)

I'm not bothered either way to be honest...if we come in focused and play our game they could both turn up and we'd still win! :D

I do think it will be interesting if it's to be West Ham, however, given that we still have to play them in the league (this Wednesday, in fact) before the final.  I envision us fielding half the reserve team at Upton Park in that situation, which might be a nice occasion for the likes of Anderson, Barragan, Calliste and others.  We can't rest Pepe and some our first choice defenders, though...I want that single-season clean sheet record equalled/broken this season!

I'll salute that. I don't think I can take another one like 25.05.05!!! My heart was bounding against Chelsea and we were winning for 70 minutes!  :D
