Judging by this article id say that Stelios really wants to play for us. Im sure this wont go unnoticed by Rafa
--------------------------------------------------------
Bolton midfielder Stelios has launched a television appeal to assist the search for a Liverpool supporter who went missing in Crete last year while on holiday with friends.
Stelios made a plea on Greek Television asking for help from his fellow countrymen to locate Reds fan Steven Cook, now 21, who went missing at the beginning of his holiday back in September 2005.

The appeal was also to be shown on BBC North West on Friday night.
Despite several visits to the island by members of Steven's family and appeals on local and Greek Television there have been no confirmed sightings of Steven.

It is hoped that an appeal by such a highly-recognised and respected footballer will help highlight Steven's case as the new holiday season begins.

Stelios explained: "Steven is very much missed by his family and friends who want nothing more than for Steven to return home safely so they can get on with their lives once more. I am asking that if you saw anything suspicious in Malia on the night he disappeared or if you have seen anyone matching Steven's description, then please contact one of the following numbers below. Your help is needed."

Or he could be showing genuine concern,do you think that would be a more plausible explanation ?
Stelios is launching an appeal not for any ulterior motives ,but for the simple fact a lad of 21 disappeared in his homeland .
I cant comprehend anyone would read the article  and show such a scant amount of empathy towards the familys plight

What a d!ckhead he must be, launching an appeal for someones son who is missing and at worse, dead.

Dont be such fu*king tools, he is not promoting his desire to play for Liverpool doing this, he has already stated he would like a move so he doesnt need to do this.

Your as bad as the fu*king media if you think that.

Don't know about the others, but nowhere in that article did I read anything remotely suggesting he want's a move to us, what a sh*t topic and wrongfully titled one this is.

Every time I spend a considerable amount of time away from this forum , it seems on returning I invariably walk into a post that a baby with a crayon would have put more thought into composing .
Liverpool fans are renowned for their knowledge of the game but we have also proved Scousers are the most compassionate of all fans .
The people who have read that article and have seen it as a blatant attempt for Stelios to promote his move to Liverpool, instead of a plea for information to quell the undoubted stress  and anguish  this boys family have been feeling are imbeciles and frankly leave me bemused .

I thought this topic would be about expressing gratitude for what he has done. He is one of very few Greek premiership players and is an important person in his home country and could help. Instead everyone is talking about whether we need him at the club or not :no

I honestly dont believe that the player would try and do this as a way of promoting a move to Liverpool. If he did Stelios must be a complete idiot and must think the same of Rafa and the board. I hope some good comes out of this appeal anyway. Im still not dismissing the idea of him coming to Anfield. I get the feeling Rafa likes him and rates him.
