Now that we've had a chance to see the lad play what does everyone think?

I know the lad has only played one game but I thought he looked quite good and he passed well under pressure, although I haven't seen enough of his defending and he got in the way of Alonso for the Ferdinand goal last week, I guess the lad is also still getting used to the zonal marking.

Saw enough of he guy on debut to see he is very comfortable on the ball. The physical side of his game will have to improve as he looked a little lightweight. We could say that of any player arriving to the Premiership though.

Reserve judgement for a few games I think!! :;):

He looked alright to me. Must be a little awkward finding his feet at a new club when his first outing was at right mid as opposed to right back, but on the ball he looked very comfortable, his passing was crisp and he covered a hell of a lot of ground.

Certainly a hell of a lot tidier with the ball than Josemi.

He is a VAST imrovement on Josemi.

Looks better on the ball than Finnan, but not as good defensively. Decent header of the ball.

Dives like Van Horseface, though. ???

He looks like he can be a good player, but that dive he did against Portsmouth was pathetic. Just hope he isnt a diver.

Might be interesting to see him on the right wing and Finnan in defence cos I think Cisse is gonna frustrate the sh1t3 out of us on the right, fingers crossed

he's injured now though so it'll be a while until a full assessment can be made.

I've watched the highlights of last weeks reserve game against Wolves, and he was fantastic. If he can bring that form to the premiership then the futures bright (the future's orange)
